Back and forth, back and forth, the young Xingese soon-to-be-Emperor was pacing the throne room to where he would be crowned as the new Emperor of Xing. It had been a few months ago since he returned from Amestris, and his father, the original Emperor of Xing had dubbed Ling his next successor to the throne. The long black-haired prince was thrilled to learn that his efforts had paid off in the end. It was three months ago the sickly emperor had finally taken his last breath, leaving the whole country to Ling Yao, the twelfth son of the late Emperor of Xing.

Summary: On their way back to Xing to bury Fu, Ling beats himself up for not being able to protect his subject. However, what the prince doesn't know is that there is someone right in front of him holding far worst pain for the old man then he could ever imagine.

"We should be able to make it back to Xing by two months at longest." Mei Chang informed, looking at a train schedule as she walked along side two other figures carrying a large body bag.

LingxLan Fan Oneshot- A beauty to protectRandom one-shot I decided to do on a whim. Hope you guys like. I actually got this idea for this fic from a friend who wrote me a FMA fic a while back, so I thank her because she is the reason I was able to write this :)

Princess Li-Kiew (AKA Kiwi) is my oc and the child of Ling Yao and Lan Fan in this.

Song being sung in this is the Beauty Song by Li Yannian.

Spelling errors in Li-Kiew's speech are on purpose.

Yīng'ér means baby in Chinese in case anyone wonders.

Hi - just popping over to promote an art challenge some of your members might enjoy.

It's time for the FMA Big Bang Challenge once again. However, things are going to run a bit differently this year. In fact. they're going to run completely in reverse!

That's right folks, this year's challenge will actually be a Reverse Big Bang. This means that you, the artists, set the pace this year by drawing whatever FMA-themed art you are bunnied to. After it's done, we'll pair you up with an author who will then write a story inspired by your art. How cool is that? Usually it's fanfic that inspires art, but here is your chance as an artist to directly inspire an author or two.

While the challenge is hosted on Livejournal, you do not need a Livejournal account to sign up.

Hi, sorry kind of random spammer here....but does anyone besides me realize that if Ling were to become emperor, wouldn't he have to take a wife from each of the clans...rendering LingYaoxLanFan non-canon?

I support LingYaoxLanFan, But I just thought of that and I wonder if anyone else remembered that detail...
